Timeframe options

TRAILING_5_YRS – This calculation method looks back 5 years from the date entered. Meaning, if the date entered is August 8, 2014, the illustration would be calculated looking from August 8, 2009 – August 8, 2014. When using this option, if a fund has not been active for 5 years, the allocation to that fund shows $0 investment until the point in time when the fund is active, and then the allocation to that fund is added as an inflow, and its performance is factored in once it is active.
TRAILING_10_YRS – This calculation method looks back 10 years from the date entered. Meaning, if the date entered is August 8, 2014, the illustration would be calculated looking from August 8, 2004 – August 8, 2014. When using this option, if a fund has not been active for 10 years, the allocation to that fund shows $0 investment until the point in time when the fund is active, and then the allocation to that fund is added as an inflow, and its performance is factored in once it is active.
EARLIEST_COMMON – This calculation method looks at each fund selected in the illustration, and calculates the performance back to the date when ALL funds selected are active. Meaning, if funds A, B & C were selected for the illustration, and fund A started June 1, 2001, fund B started March 15, 2007 and fund C started October 22, 2010, the illustration would be calculated looking from October 22, 2010 (the date when all three funds are active) – August 8, 2014 (if this is the date entered).
SINCE_INCEPTION – This calculation method looks at each fund selected in the illustration, and calculates the performance back to when the fund started. Meaning, if funds A, B & C were selected for the illustration, and fund A started June 1, 2001, fund B started March 15, 2007 and fund C started October 22, 2010, the illustration would be calculated looking from June 1, 2001 (the oldest date) – August 8, 2014 (if this is the date entered). Fund B & C would show $0 investment from June 1, 2001 until the point in time when the fund is active, and then the allocation to that fund is added as an inflow, and its performance is factored in once it is active.
CUSTOM_DATE_RANGE – This calculation method looks at the specific Start Date and End Date entered. Meaning, if the Start Date entered is June 20, 2006 and End Date entered is August 8, 2014, the illustration would be calculated looking from June 20, 2006 – August 8, 2014. When using this option, if a fund has not been active for date range selected, the allocation to that fund shows $0 investment until the point in time when the fund is active, and then the allocation to that fund is added as an inflow, and its performance is factored in once it is active.
